      first day / all year;
      -wake up on time so you can make
      sure you double check that you have
      everything, eat a good breakfast and
      look good.
      -get 8 or more hrs of sleep, it will make
      you look more awake and youll wake
      up and get out of bed much easier.
      -if youre taking the bus be like 10 mins
      early to your bus stop to make sure
      that you dont miss your bus.
      -if youre getting a ride there, be there
      a little bit early so you can find your
      friends and dont feel lost.
      -pick what youre going to wear the night
      before so you dont have to run out the
      door ( a mistake i made all 8th grade
      year )
      -if you decide to change anything during
      the year, such as make up or something,
      *dont* make a huge change over night. for
      example, you decide to wear make up;
      dont come in one day with eyeshadow,
      liner, mascara, lipgloss foundation etc.
      **make changes gradual.**
      locker;
      -def. have a mirror and a brush in your
      locker for hair and make up touch ups.
      -also make it fun and put up pictures
      magnets and w.e you want to make
      it “you”.
      clothes;
      -make sure you follow your schools dress
      code to avoid trouble. trust me.
      -if your school allows heels, and you want
      to wear them, make sure theyre a height
      you can walk in and break them in first.
      -please make sure that your underwear or
      bra isnt showing through youre clothes.
      ( light colored or sheer clothes )
      -keep some extra clothes in your locker
      ( like sweat pants or a hoodie or
      something incase you get something on
      your shirt or pants. )
      -dress according to the weather. dont
      wear a miniskirt when its too cold and
      youre getting weird looks cause its winter.
      makeup;
      -if you dont wear any makeup and you
      want to start wearing some, lipgloss and
      mascara is a good choice. unless you
      overdo it, it looks clean and natural but
      still nice.
      -eyeliner in 6th grade can look very trashy
      if youre not careful in the way you put it on.
      -basically go light on the makeup. save the
      more dramatic looks for parties and special
      occasions.
      purse;
      -if youre school allows it, get a purse thats
      a good size for school that you can carry
      around with you.
      -keep things that you would and will need in
      it like pen, pencil, hairbrush, cellphone,
      money, gum / mints, pads / tampons, lipgloss,
      etc. etc. basically anything.
      sooo…. basicallyyy… just have fun. i know this
      was a lot. but dont follow everything. if you dont
      want to wear heels… dont. if you dont want to
      wear makeup… dont. just be you. but these
      were just things incase you wanted anything.
      well have fun in 6th grade and dont be nervous
      to make some new friends. the more the merrier.
      oh and do your best in school.
      hope that helped (:

      survival tips:
      1. dont act like you all big and bad that is a sure way of getting hated by 8th graders
      2. be yourself, nobody likes fake people and when meeting new people you want to make a good impression on your teachers
      3. dont suck up to teachers but dont be bad either, be kinda in the middle that way your safe from any sort of taunting in that subject
      4. if you bring candy say a teacher gave it to you, i had to throw out a lollipop once bcuz i brought it from home
      5. dont give out your locker combination and dont leave it sitting around, somebody stole my gym shorts once and there was only one other person who knew the combination and that was bcuz we shared a locker
      6. dont act like a slut, not saying you do but lets just be on the safe side, acting and dressing likeone will result in ridicule from most 8th graders
      7. try to be nice to 8th and 7th graders having friends who are in highschool can assure you protection when you get to hs
      those were my tips
      for locker stuff get a pencil holder, mirror, magnets, mini dry erase board, and some sticky notes.
      hope this helps

      Just relax…. It may take a little time to adjust, but it isn’t bad at all. 6th grade is when you will start learning fractions and equations in math. You also get to go to 6th grade science camp, offered in MOST schools and that is a fun couple of days. Science is alot funner cause there are better experiments and things for you to learn. Computer lab was a blast. The thing is…. you will still know alot of people cause all your friends will be making the transistion with you so you won’t have to feel insecure with your surroundings… Go to the dances with your friends, you can now since you are older… Live life to the fullest and take it one day at a time. You might even want to consider going for one of the sports or get onto the yearbook staff…. In high school, take spanish and the foods class… You can make food and EAT it. Hope you have a wonderful 6th grade experience… Enjoy your life!!!!

      oh lol i have lots of tips =). im going into 8th grade this month. anyway you should just focus on your work. dont get into any cliques YET. but once your in 7th grade get into a clique or make your own with your friends. im in the popular clique my self and it makes things alot easier :) anyway you should buy one of those locker shelves, a stylish mirror, a mini dry erase board, some magnets ( so you can hang cute pics in there) and maybe like a little magnetic pencil box thing idk wat its called. you can find all that at walmart :D

      Have a mirror with a small basket under it and put chapstic and nail clippers and stuff like that in it. and have a basket in the bottom and when you need to take stuff home, put it in the basket and at the end of the day just dump the stuff in the basket in your backpack. Color code your folders and books by subject. don’t be scared and everything WILL BE FINE. i promise. and you’re welcome.

      don’t bother with locker decorating unless everyone else is.
      maybe decorate it like your favorite band or something.
      i saw a cute Jonas brother one last year when I was in middle school. also keep it clean.
      Try to stay close with your friends and homework and school should always come first.

      Ok, all the 7th and 8th graders will be walking up to each other in the hallways shouting to friends saying stuff like “OMG, I missed you!” and What’s up!” Don’t do that trying to blend in, it’ll just going to call attention to yourself and they’ll make fun of you. It sounds dumb, but don’t slack off, all my friends did and they were really sorry!
