      Bring a pair of running shoes. You don’t have to out run the bear, you just have to out run your friends.
      Since, you do not already know these techniques from experience, I doubt mastery will come from Y!A’s. Look up Suvival Techniques online, try a few of the ideas out on nice and easy campouts and gradually move to full-on survival/roughing it.

      Yahoo! Answers is not the place to learn survival tips. Talk to an expert, or at the very least read a book. And by book, I don’t mean one aimed at the highly commercial market of wannabes by blokes like Bear Grylls, I mean a book by a true survival expert.

      Survival like without help? or just backpacking? that’s not really survival. But heres one. hold in your pee. it saves water. and don’t eat as much since digestion needs tons of water.
