      There’s no such thing as an alpha male. Just beta males who THINK one of them is an alpha male.
      To get other betas to think you’re this mythological alpha, work on your communication skills, your intelligence, and develop self-confidence and discipline. In other words, strive to attain the best within yourself; desired attention from betas will follow; you’ll succeed not by trying to become a alpha, but by being more YOU.

      I don’t know why you would want to become an alpha male. There is a lot of talk about alpha, beta, and omega guys and how being alpha attracts girls. There are also alpha, beta, and omega females too you know. There’s a relation on how each of the status relate to one another.
      What to do to become alpha male is easy. Doing what alpha males do is hard. You cannot fake it. You really do have to be the biggest buck and stare down and ram the rest, be the rooster to find food for the chicks and kick and peck others until they’re near death or do die, be the wolf that leads successful hunts, be the lion that protects his pride and especially his lionesses. For chimpanzees you have to be the most wise in the sense of grooming others, warning of danger, and fighting when necessary. What it comes down to is a combination of strength, leadership, conviction, experience, etc. Always remember to reward good behaviors and punish bad ones!
      BUT,
      You got to realize that these are analysis of ANIMALS that live as a unit. There are other animals that live drastically different even though they are in a unit like pigeons. Even different subspecies of the same animals function differently. You can’t really apply wolf packs to humans and use it as a code of conduct. For although people do live in a family unit, we also live in a SOCIETY. We are all as much a product of our society as it is ours. If you haven’t notice, look around and recognize that people are a special animal.
      If it’s girls you’re after try something simple like find what you want in a girl and go get one. Don’t beat your chest, snarl at others, chase and beat others, try to have sex with and protect every girl you see, etc. Not only is that unpleasant, it’s absurd no matter who you are. Going along with the animal motif, you also should realize that although it is true enough that we share behaviors with other animals we are our own species. You don’t need advice on how to get girls by observing monkeys lol. You will naturally follow a dating/mating ritual just like the one you’re on now and just as all other animals do. Some things are innate like babies crying, growing old, liking girls in a new light after hitting puberty, etc.
      Conclusion, I’m thinking pschology has gotten to the point where it’s psyching itself out.

      You have to fight the other males in your pack until they defer to you or until they’re dead. While that’s perfectly acceptable among dogs, among civilized human beings, you may face certain legal consequences, like 5-10 for assault, and either life imprisonment or capital punishment (it varies from state to state) for murder. Once in prison, the whole “alpha male” thing is perfectly acceptable, but you’ll be starting at the bottom of the pack again (in more ways than one) and you’ll have A LOT of guys to take down to make it to “top dog.” My advice? Be the Golden Retriever of your pack. Golden retrievers are well liked, and they usually don’t have to fight and therefore they generally stay out of prison.
