Should Alcohol Be Banned At Nfl Games?

Filed in Category Beer Games

People just don’t seem to be able to have fun without being smashed. I think it’s time to ban all beer and liquar at games.

I don’t think that banning alcohol from NFL games would help very much… the fact of the matter is that every time I have been to a game, I have noticed that most people are getting their drink on out in the parking lots. At a Chargers game I was at this season (Not a Chargers fan, but I LOVE football) there were people my age from SDSU that were taking shots of jagermeister, taking jager-bombs, shooting rum, and pounding beers like there was no tomorrow. These guys were pretty cool though and were inviting people to take shots with them, and they were funny during the game, making jokes starting cheers, etc. People like this make football in the stands fun…
But, Its the jerks who try to fight people and get offensive that are the issue… to take care of them, you’d probably have to ban alcohol from NFL property PERIOD. And at that, they’d probably just get drunk at home. But I agree with the basis of you question…

Hell no, I went to Two Notre Dames games last year and they sucked so bad you needed alcohol……..I hate it because all college stadiums don’t even sell alcohol anywhere near……..so you have to get all trashed before the game and then by halftime your already getting a hangover and wanting to leave……….At the Bears games I went to last season that stop selling alcohol at the end of the third quarter……..which still sucks and its hard to smoke weed in that stadium because they have security everywhere……….

I think the players should be allowed to drink also…score a touchdown and chug a beer, field goal would be worth a half a beer…and beer should be free…it isn’t the alcohol that makes people crazy, it’s the price

Wouldn’t bother me if they banned alcohol @ all sporting events. It will never happen as long as people keep paying 5-7 dollars for 30 cents worth of beer.

no, because half of the fun going to NFL, or for that matter, any other sporting event, is getting to see what the crazy drunk fans a few rows down from you are going to do next.

Then no one would go. Tailgating parties involve alchohol. I don’t drink and don’t care too, but you can’t punish the whole country for something that is already in control. Talk about taking just one more freedom away from America lol.

no, the league should not ban it. however, i do support an individual team banning alcohol from their stadium if it is in their best interest.

No. It wouldn’t help much. Those annoying drunks you’re talking about walk into the stadium hammered already. Nobody comes in sober and then stands in line all game long and spends $100 on stadium beer to get drunk. They drink most of their beer BEFORE the game.

During Raiders games in San Diego, they cut off the alcohol sales at halftime. That seems to pretty much keep most of the morons in check.
