Wrong. Rape can be and has been committed against men by women. Everyone should be protected against it.

I think you have some serious issues that need to be addressed. Rape is wrong and against the law regardless of who it happens too. And the same rape laws that cover women, cover men as well. I know this for a fact because I worked as a Rape and Sexual Assault Victims Advocate for about three years. I’ve seen both genders be affect by this crime. And anyone who commits it should be punished too the fullest. Even though you’re only expressing your opinion, I would advise you really research the matter you’ve brought forward for discussion, because it’s obvious you know nothing about it. And your comment makes you look really foolish.

Technically most rape laws protect men as well. It’s how the laws are interpreted and enforced where the sexism comes in, because even though they’re written in a gender-neutral way, most rape laws still are aimed at helping women exclusively, with maybe a handful of men to benefit as well, and more importantly, many people just don’t think it’s possible for a man to be raped. That includes some people on this forum (like you, for instance). Why exactly do you feel this way? I think you’re just trying to rile everybody up.
Sorry Michaela. I was trying to give you a thumbs up but accidentally hit the thumbs down. Stupid mouse screwed me up.

WOW. if you think that all men just want a piece and will seriously just have sex with any woman that hops on, you are sadly mistaken. believe it or not, there are actually guys out there that want to stay faithful to their significant others. so when her best friend rapes him, his body may be aroused, but he may still not want her because of his wife. it’s perfectly legitimate to say that a woman can rape a man.
and why is it that women can’t be nymphos like the men in your head? there are women out there that love sex, so if they get raped, does it mean that they are lesbians if they report it? men are the only ones who can like sex and want it all the time? grow up buddy. it’ll do you a world of wonders.

oh so your sayin that if a guy was raped but a huge fat grossly disgusting woman thats not illegal i think not. i know of a few guys who have had thier drinks spiked and raped cuz they wouldnt get it on with a certain chick cuz she was damn nasty the only way she could get a half decent bloke in bed was to rape him. there is alot of gentle natured guys who are often harrassed by butt ugly women, i think these woman should be charged the same as a man. and now they got drugs out their so its so easy for the woman to get him hard to do it. not to mention there are some weird ppl out there that like to ‘rape’ in other ways which is totally wrong. and hey guys should report that crap so when you wake up one morning with the ugliest festiest girl next to you what you aint gonna claim rape?

why does it seem I am always explaining that rape can happen to men….to men?
Yes rape can happen to men, 10% of the reported rapes the victum is male…I’m will to bet that there are a lot more of them but for the reasons you just stated, he wont tell anyone about it.
As to the Q what “laws” do you have in mind? What laws do women have that protect us from rape?

your an idiot.
Not everyone is unfaithful and just wants a slice wherever he can get it.
Just because women are the victims more often doesn’t mean men aren’t ever.
Ever heard of prison rape?
For instance, men are victim to much much more violence than women.
So should we say women are immune to violence?
Didn’t think so.

They do it is called physical assault. It is almost never reported. Most occur when either one of both parties are in a drunken stupor. That could be another reason many cases go unreported. Black out would preclude remembering what had occurred until years later, and maybe not even then.

It is a fact that it is more common for men to rape women, but that doesn’t mean a man can’t be raped.
Why would saying no to sex make a man gay?
And why is reporting a crime a bad thing?
Grow up.

Rape laws cover both men and women…and transgendered people. The punishments might not be the same, but the law is SUPPOSED to cover everyone.

There already are provisions in the law to cover this contingency.
