What Lawmakers Are Responsible For The Texas Tax Free Weekend?

Just trying to find out who may have come up with the idea. I’m assuming the governor signed it into effect, but who drafted the bill/law/code/whatever it is. Remember, this is specific to TEXAS. Thanks guys, you rock.

      You know then Governor George W. Bush was behind the push to come up with tax relief for Texans and this was among his premiere accomplishments. I am not sure if Bob Bullock was part of this, but his support for even being a democrat lead to much good being done for Texas and I think the naming of the new Texas Museum in Austin for him was a great honor for Bullock’s service to Texas first and foremost above party and politics.
