What, To You, Are The Characteristics Of An Alpha Male?

If you could give examples of types of behaviour in specific situations, that would be much appreciated. How does the Alpha male differ from the Beta? To what degree do these categorizations exist in reality? I certainly hope a discussion is forthcoming.

      any situation in which a man is in a position of higher status than the rest, and when the others have poor chances of getting him out of there, then he is the alpha male. but it can change from day to day. there is an alpha male in my class whose stock is dropping with all the stupid remarks he’s making.
      Alpha male is a very temporary state.

      - Misogynistic yet women will love him
      - 6 pack
      - seen in gyms, clubs, pool side
      - hate nerds, stoners, weeabos, Beta males,
      - tight clothing
      - good talker
      - flirts a lot
      - likes talking about his car, his body, drinking, his woman/women, sport, i.e. NOT anime, nerd stuff, anything that involves too much thought.
      Well they’re quite realitistic. I don’t like Alphas. They irritate me.
