Will Kelly Tilghman And Her Lynching Comments Always Be Associated With The Golf Channel?

Filed in Category Golf Jokes

Yes. When someone mentions the Golf Channel, how can you forget it? I don’t think that blacks even joke that much among themselves about lynching. Can you imagine coming home and having to tell your children that your father was lynched? Not a good thing to joke about.

It was a sad incident and I think all of the golf world, even Tiger who accepted her apology, knows that she had no mal intent. Everyone that heard the comment knows she was paying a compliment to the greatest golfer in the world. However, in some areas the use of that word is like a lighting bolt.

no it will only matter as long as the press and people make it out to be. look at the context it was said in and it was just something that slipped out. faldo said the only place that the young guys could beat him was in a street fight and she went from there and just chose the wrong word. if mispeaking can now be the identity of a channel then there are other channels that should be known for comments made on them.

How about we forget about it it was weeks ago now, and it doesn’t really matter because Tiger accepted her apology.

I think everybody should just let it go. it was an unfortunate incident and it’s over. Al Sharpton is the only racist in this entire situation. All he does is promote hatred towards caucasians everytime something like this happens. To him all white people are hate-mongers. Drop it, move on.
What you should dwell on is the ridiculous decision by the editors of Golfweek to put a noose on the front cover.

Well, where do you think the stupid editor of Golfweek got the idea to put it on the cover from? A stupid comment made by a stupid commentator on the Golf Channel. I see a lot of people feel like this is a non-issue and that kind of thinking is why we are in a forum talking about this. I agree that she, being Tiger’s friend, had no ill will in the comment and that is why I am glad she did not get fired. However, if you are on T.V. you have to be responsible for your actions, joking or otherwise. I commend the Golf Channel for making her responsible for her actions, even though it took some pressure to do so. Sharpton is a retard, nuff said about him. I don’t know about you guys but I am looking forward to the tourney that starts tomorrow.
